I have lived in Fullerton for over 20 years. I went to Rolling Hills elementary school, Ladera Vista junior high, Fullerton Union High School, Fullerton College and Cal State University, Fullerton.
I currently teach English at Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton.
I also co-own Hibbleton art gallery in downtown Fullerton, where we give voice to outsider and emerging artists. We were voted best art gallery in Orange County by OC Weekly in 2009.
I helped start the Downtown Fullerton Art Walk, a free, multi-venue art experience that happens the first Friday of every month.
I am the creator and Editor-in Chief of Hibbleton Independent, an annual art/literary magazine, published right here in Fullerton. Last Spring, we collaborated with Cal State Fullerton’s Creative Writing Club to create a special split issue.
I host a free weekly variety show at Mulberry St. Ristorante that features local music, poetry, and other creative expression. It’s called The Nerdy Thursday Variety Show and it happens every Thursday at 10pm.
I live on Wilshire Avenue right in the heart of Downtown Fullerton, and I sincerely care about this community. It is my passion to preserve the uniqueness, culture, and diversity of this wonderful city.
