Whether we like to talk about it or not, the City of Fullerton is still largely segregated by ethnicity and class.
As the owner of an art gallery downtown that showcases “outsider” art, I have seen the beautiful dialogue and togetherness that happens when people of all ages, ethnicities, and classes come together.
As a City Council member, I would like to promote dialogue between different community demographics. I want to have a welcoming and inviting spirit, inviting ideas from everyone. I dream of a Fullerton that is known for both diversity and community. One way to achieve this would be to host regular community forums–roundtable discussions in which everyone’s voice is welcomed and heard.
